At Alpha One Imaging, our employees truly are our family. They are integral to our success and greatly contribute to the state-of-the-art mobile imaging services that we provide our clients. Meet the newest member of our team, x-ray tech, Andrew Knox.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

My name is Andrew. I’m 33 years old and I have been an x-ray tech for eight and a half years. I am originally from Tucson, AZ, where I lived until I was 17. I have lived all over South Louisiana and I love it here. I got into x-ray because I love working with patients, helping the doctors diagnose the patients and I also find the field of Radiology to be extremely interesting.

What were you doing before you joined Alpha One?

Before I joined the team at Alpha One, I worked in the Radiology Department at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. I started there in 2009 and worked there for eight years. I learned a lot working there, but I have found my calling at Alpha One and I am very thankful that I was invited to join this team.

What made you want to join the Alpha One team?

I was told about Alpha One by an old coworker of mine who knew a tech in the company.

Originally I was looking for a part-time job to fill out my schedule. After training with the company, I knew that the job was for me. I love the level of care that they show to their patients and clients. They do everything that they can to make sure that their service is the best that it can be. They also have a lot of respect and appreciation towards their employees, which is always nice.

For all of those reasons and more, I have chosen to work full-time as a member of the Alpha One Team.

What’s your favorite part of being an x-ray tech?

My favorite part of being an x-ray tech is being able to accurately assist the doctors in determining each patient’s condition. That way the patient can receive exactly the right kind of care to get them well again.

Do you have a favorite quote?

”Shoot for the moon! Even if you fall, you’ll land among the stars.”

What else can you tell us about yourself?

I love nature. I love being outside. If I could live the rest of my life roughing it in the middle of the woods, I probably would. I don’t think I’d make it though haha.
