Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hi, I am Brad Specht, the Tech Manager for Alpha One Imaging. I have worked in the radiology field since 1990, after graduating from Ochsner’s School of Radiology.
What were you doing before you joined Alpha One?
I worked at Ochsner as an X-ray Tech for 5 years. I went on to earn certifications in CT and MRI and worked in local hospitals and clinics using the different modalities. Most recently I held the position of Radiology Supervisor at an imaging center before coming to Alpha One.
What do you enjoy about the mobile aspect of working for Alpha One?
I enjoy Alpha One because I am able to not only perform mobile X-ray, but interact with the public, which I love. Helping patients who are homebound, living in a nursing or retirement home or healing in a rehab center brings me joy and a feeling of accomplishment that is unique to mobile X-ray.
What else can you tell us about yourself?
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Laplace. I have been married to my wife for 25 years. I have 1 son and 2 daughters that are just finishing college and going on to graduate school. We have 3 poodles named Baloo, Biscotti and Axle and they bark way too much.
My absolute favorite things to do when I’m not working are attending LSU football games every Saturday, home or away, fishing, and spending time at the beach with my family and friends.
